This table is solid and strong. We harvested the legs from an old composite table that was damaged. This is NOT a portable work surface it weighs 60+ lbs. DO NOT PUT GO GO BOOTS ON THIS TABLE !! IT WEIGHTS TOO MUCH !!The Restore has solid core doors upon occasion, as opposed to a hollow core door, which won’t work as well. It has a hole in it for the door handle, but I put a cup in it to hold pencils. You can build storage underneath, of various bins, boxes, and buckets. A great place to store seldom used things. If you are really gung-ho, you can build a platform with casters and put it under the table legs. You will then have a HEAVY portable table with a lower shelf.
