I seldom have a painting go from the easel to a show or gallery. This rack is a neat way to store large canvases. It is made with a platform on casters, for mobility. The angle pieces are smaller PVC pipe that has been drilled, then screwed. Do not allow the stretcher bars of one canvas to poke the neighboring canvas. That makes pouches or tears. We set the width between the PVC pipes to take two canvases in each slot. Mobility is important because just as sure as you build something “permanent”, it is going to be in the wrong place. Use casters that lock so they don’t roll around when you aren’t looking. Once again, this is how we did it, and it is just the beginning of an idea for you.
