Drawing Board

This 4’x4’ board is hung from another French cleat. You can get a 4×8 sheet of plywood cut in half at Lowes or Home Depot. They will also cut the other half into the sizes you want. This makes it easier to handle and transport. Also their cuts are straight and square. This is thin plywood so that the drawing board is easy to move. We built a supporting frame of 1×2 s, for rigidity and to attach the cleat. We attached a tray at the bottom, but in hind sight it is not an asset.

There is a band of metal across the front, near the top. I can pull the paper up, from the paper dispenser and temporarily adhere it with magnets. I have six. That leaves my hands free to cut the paper to the desired length, and to lock the bar that is also backed with shelf liner across the top. This is to keep the paper from slipping. Another board can clamp across the bottom or the paper can be taped down.
